Wellness check-ups
An unhurried, nose-to-tail check that catches small things early.
A wellness check is a full physical examination with time to talk. We check eyes, ears, teeth, heart, lungs, skin, joints and weight, and we ask about appetite, behaviour and routine. It is the single most useful thing you can do for your pet each year.
When your pet needs it
- Once a year for healthy adult pets
- Twice a year for pets over eight, or with ongoing conditions
- When you have just adopted a new pet
- Any time something seems a little off
What to expect
- 1
Settle in
We take you to a quiet room straight away. Your pet can explore while we chat.
- 2
The examination
Nose to tail, at your pet's pace. We will work on the floor or your lap if that is easier.
- 3
Talk it through
We explain what we found in plain language and answer every question.
- 4
Your care plan
You leave with a written summary and reminders for what is due next.
How to prepare
- Bring a list of food, treats and any medicines
- Note anything you have noticed, however small
- A favourite toy or blanket helps nervous pets
